BROKEN COUNTRY by CLARE LESLIE HALL

Our Happy Place Book Club pick for March is Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall. I whizzed through this book, it’s so beautiful. It’s a story about a young girl called Beth who falls in love with somebody called Gabriel. I don’t want to give too much away because I really want you to enjoy it. It’s set in Dorset which is one of my favorite places.

Gabriel then disappears then comes back later down the line, so Beth potentially has a second chance at first love - that feeling when you’re a teenager and everything’s really exciting but there’s a hell of a lot to lose. There’s a lot of drama and I truly did not see that ending coming. There’s something that happens at the end that I just did not anticipate. I think you’re really going ti enjoy the characters, the setting, and the incredible plot, so make sure you read along with us this March.
