SO THRILLED FOR YOU by HOLLY BOURNE

Our Happy Place Book Club pick for February is So Thrilled For You by Holly Bourne. This book was the one of the best I’ve ever read, I couldn’t wait to get in bed at night to pour over the pages.

It’s basically a whodunnit, not a murder as such, but a whodunnit none the less at a baby shower. Not only is it funny and so clever, it’s a real look at all the different angles of motherhood, pregnancy, the choice to not have children etc. It delves into the toxic and overbearing pressure that there is when you find yourself at that point in life as a woman, and the intricacies of the dynamics and friendship groups with all of that clustered together.

It’s just brilliant and I absolutely loved it, and I think you’re going to love it too. It’s a perfect bit of winter escapism, so read along with us, we’d love to hear what you think of the book and characters!
